How to upload the sidebar stuff... with the magic button! from Wilna Furstenberg on Vimeo.
Screenshots + Instructions
1. To upload the sidebar image to your blog, click LAYOUT > ADD A GADGET > HTML/JAVASCRIPT (aka as the magic button!)
2. Get your image from amazon (or any other place online) by right clicking the image and selecting SAVE IMAGE AS. This will save a copy of the image to your computer.
3. Upload the image now to PHOTOBUCKET. Click on the image and it will open in a window like this. Copy the HTML code. it starts with .
3. Paste the code into your HTML widget.
4. If you click "Edit Html" it will change the view to the image. In this view you can see everything thats happening there.
Rich Text
5. Now you can click and drag the image to make it smaller. You can see the pixel size of the file while you do this. This way you dont have to change the sizes of the images in a photo editing program first. SO COOL!
6. If you want to link your image, Make sure it's selected and click the little LINK Image. It will open an address bar where you can enter a web address.
7. Once you have repeated this process and you are happy with the "look" click SAVE. If you want some breaks in your code, (because sometimes HTML code just do it's own thing) use the
. It's universal code for a break.
8. I LOVE Facebook flair! Click on a piece of flair you like and right click and select " save image as". Now you can upload that saved file to photobucket and you can use it on your blog too with the magic button!
More sidebar stuff to come tomorrow!!
Leave me a comment if you are HAPPY and if you need HELP...The only condition for me to HELP is that you SHOULD HAVE watched ALL the videos and read all the instructions!

This is cool, I have a lot of links I want to add to my blog using this process. Do you think I could use Picasa to upload the images instead of Photobucket?
